Picture
There are such beings as vampires. We have experienced and proof from them. This story was one of the last vampire reporting in North America. Mercy Lena Brown was a farmer's daughter and was a member of rural Exeter, Rhode Island. She was only 19 when she died from consumption on January 17, 1892. Consumption is loss of strength or skin tone and it kills you slowly. On March 17, 1892, Mercy's body was exhumed from the cemetery because some people suspected that Mercy, the vampire, was attacking her dying brother. Consumption played its first victim's with the Brown family. First Mercy died. Then both mom and Mercy's sister died of it. The Brown's only son, Edwin, came down with consumption after the daughter died with it. he came to Colorado to stop the disease. When his condition worsened, he came home to Rhode Island to die. After Mercy's funeral, Edwin's condition became worse. George Brown, the father, was frantic. He lost his wife and both his daughter, and he was about to lose his son. That's when Mercy began tormenting his brother. In England, they dealt with vampires by burning their organs so they won't come back to life. George went to Mercy's grave and burned her heart. Even though her father tried to save his son from vampire attacks, he still died 2 months later from consumption. Mercy Brown was one of the most famous vampire stories and is one that's recent.
